NEWS BRIEFS 6 IEN / DECEMBER '16 www.ien.com FCI Establishes Joint Venture in Saudi Arabia Fluid Components International (FCI) announces the establishment of Fluid Components Saudi Arabia Ltd., a joint venture with GAS Arabian Services Co., Ltd (GAS). FCI is a global manufacturer of gas fl ow meters, gas and liquid fl ow switches and liquid level switches for ap- plication in industrial processes and plants. FCI's new joint venture in Saudi Ara- bia offers high quality service and sup- port for all local and regional users of FCI instrumentation. The facility provides immediate access to FCI engineering and technical support, local spare parts inventory and supply, repair and re-cal- ibration services, factory certifi ed fi eld service personnel, client product and service training, site dispatching and on- site installation and start-up assistance. In addition to employing local Saudi staff highly experienced in process instru- mentation, measurement and control, the facility will accommodate expansion to add fl ow stands with internationally traceable reference equipment for local calibration services. Nordson Receives Award from SMTA Nordson Corporation has received the SMTA Cor- porate Partnership award in recognition of its ongo- ing support of the Surface Mount Technology Asso- ciation (SMTA). Several businesses within Nordson's Advanced Technology-Electronics Systems group are active Corporate members, including Nordson ASYMTEK, Nordson DAGE, and Nordson YESTECH. Nordson ASYMTEK's corporate membership dates back to 1989, before its acquisition by Nordson Cor- poration. Nordson was recognized for its willingness to share technical knowledge with others in the elec- tronics manufacturing industry as evidenced by the many papers that have been presented at numerous SMTA conferences. Mitsubishi Electric Automation Announces Emergency After Hours Parts Shipping Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc. has announced that it will now offer af- ter hours emergency parts shipping for CNC parts, to minimize the impact unex- pected breakdowns can have on manu- facturers. According to Chris Tummillo, parts manager, Mitsubishi Electric Automation, Inc., "We're extending our parts ship- ping hours for emergency situations to accommodate manufacturers who run their operation 24/7. We'll even ship on weekends and holidays." Tummillo said that these extended parts shipping hours will be especially helpful to CNC machine tool customers in the automotive, aerospace, agricul- ture, energy and medical markets. Creform Celebrates 25 th Anniversary in North America Creform Corporation, a manufacturer of products for the design and building of material handling structures and automated guided vehicles (AGVs), has celebrated the 25th Anniversary of the company's presence in North America this year. Over the past several years, the company has opened a new sales and engineering facility in Novi, MI that includes manufacturing with pipe/joint structure as- sembly; broken ground on a new sales and engineer- ing facility in Georgetown, KY that includes manu- facturing and technical support; opened a sales and technical support offi ce in San Antonio and launched new product developments in AGVs and material handling systems.
