New Products 30 IEN / DECEMBER '16 www.ien.com Eliminate the Safety Chain for Lifting The New L4F-QC drum handling at- tachment from Liftomatic (Buffalo Grove, IL) is designed with an auto- matic locking cam device that elimi- nates the need for a safety chain to secure the handling device to the forklift. Operators no longer need to get on and off the forklift to attach the bulky and cumbersome chains. The fork locking mechanism engages when the attachment is lifted from the ground, which prevents the attach- ment from moving on the forks. When the unit is lowered to the ground, the locking cam retracts, allowing the op- erator to slide out easily from the attachment. Other features include: • Liftomatic's exclusive "Parrot-Beak" clamping system to quickly and safely handle 1, 2, 3 or 4 rimmed steel, plastic and fi ber drums simultaneously in loading or unloading operations, pallet change outs, warehouse stacking, fi ll-line applications or any user environment where unitized handling of drums is required. • Automatic and mechanical operation, meaning no hydraulic or electrical connections are ever necessary. • Availability with spark resistant and "EE" rated components. • An 8,000-lb. total capacity (2,000-lb. per drum). www.liftomatic.com; 847-325-2930 DrumTumblr Explosion-Proof Control Option The CE mark certifi ed DrumTumblr from Morse Manufacturing (East Syracuse, NY) is de- signed to offer a superior new selection of controls (plus enclosures with safety interlocks). For hazardous areas, explosion-proof AC Control Packages, NEMA 7/9 includes the control mast and control box that will contain an internal explosion. Controls include start/stop buttons and run/jog selector switch. New AC Control Packages for Non-Hazardous appli- cations are also available. www.MorseDrum.com; 315-437-8475 Haz-Rated High-Speed Door Rite Hite (Milwaukee, WI) has introduced the LiteSpeed HZ, a new addition to its line of high-speed doors. According to the company, this is one of only two doors in the industry that is UL listed for hazardous rated environments, and Rite-Hite's FasTrax is the only other door with this distinction. The LiteSpeed HZ has a Class II, Division 2 listing from UL, car- rying a Group Code G and Temperature Code 6. All electrical components are enclosed in a UL Type 4X (NEMA) or DustTight enclosure. Those components include photo eyes, en- coder, junction box near the motor, and the motor and brake, making it the only door rated as a whole. Other benefi ts include: • A roll-up design which translates into a small physical footprint in the workplace. • Operating speeds of up to 65" per second. • Safety presence sensors, so personnel working near the door are likely to avoid a collision. However, if the LiteSpeed Clean is bumped or impacted, the TRUE Auto Re-feed will automatically reconfi gure the door back on its tracks. This eliminates a potential breach in a clean room environment and the downtime and costs associat- ed with repairing a traditional door. • A soft breakaway bottom, which provides a higher degree of protection for product, personnel and equipment. • An optional full-width vision panel, which allows workers to see what's on the other side of the door. • A reversing slack sensor can reverse the door's course if an obstruction is sensed. www.rite-hite.com; 800-456-0600 New Fluke Camera with High Res LCD Screen Fluke Corp. (Everett, WA) has introduced the new TiX620 In- frared Camera, joining the TiX640, TiX660 and TiX1000 mod- els as part of the Fluke Expert Series. According to Fluke, the TiX620 is an ideal infrared camera for the experienced thermographer. Its 640 x 480 resolution provides high measurement accuracy and 5.6" high-resolution LCD screen affords a premium in-fi eld viewing experi- ence, making identifi cation of prob- lem spots quicker and easier. Other features include: • A large screen, enabling ther- mographers to identify issues and edit images directly on the camera while still in the fi eld — reducing time in the offi ce that was previously spent optimizing images and generat- ing reports. • EverSharp multifocal recording, which captures multiple images from different focal distances and combines them into one image, displaying each object, from fore- ground to background, sharply for the best image quality. • Fluke IR-Fusion technology with three different operating modes: Picture-in-Picture, full visible light and AutoBlend. These different ways of viewing the data captured through 640 x 480 resolution make it easier for users to identify and report problems. • On-board advanced analytics, allowing users to adjust or enhance images right on the camera without additional software. • Fluke SmartView software, which provides a suite of advanced tools to view, opti- mize, annotate and analyze infrared images, and generate fully customizable profes- sional reports. • Optional telephoto and wide-angle lenses add versatility to meet a wide variety of applications. www.fl uke.com/TiX620; 800-44-FLUKE (Everett, WA) has introduced the new TiX620 In- frared Camera, joining the TiX640, TiX660 and TiX1000 mod- els as part of the Fluke Expert Series. Other Expanded Self-Propelled Lift Tables Lift Products (Waukesha, WI) has an- nounced that it now offers one of the broadest lines of self-propelled lift tables, with capacities ranging from 1000 lbs-6000 lbs. Lift tables are commonly used to position loads at an ergonom- ic height for packaging and assembly operations, to interface with machinery and to change ele- vations of various logistics infrastructures. According to the company, these tables improve productivity and reduce injuries, as users need not load or unload a lift table. Instead, they can just power it to the next work station. www.liftproducts.com; 262-521-5720 (Waukesha, WI) has an- nounced that it now offers one of are commonly used to position loads at an ergonom- ic height for packaging and assembly operations, to interface with machinery and to change ele- vations of various logistics infrastructures.
