New Products 10 IEN / OCTOBER '16 www.ien.com Clutch-Brake for Machines Prevents Contamination Nexen Group (Vadnais Heights, MN) introduces the Flange Mount- ed Clutch-Brake Enclosed (FMCBE), offering food-production machine builders a clutch-brake with built-in hygiene features to prevent contamination. The FMCBE is BISSC-approved (Baking Industry Sanitation Standards Committee), and ideal for any envi- ronment where cleanliness is a primary concern. The FMCBE of- fers other signifi cant advantages as well. Compared to electrically actuated clutch-brakes, these air engaged clutch-brakes last 2-6 time longer, use 1/3 less power, have 30% less reaction time, 40% more torque and 30% more thermal horsepower, says Nexen. Features include: • A smooth, nickel-plated fi nish to resist corrosion. • Stainless steel, hex-head bolts with no exposed threads or sockets, protecting against bacteria build-up. All machined mating surfaces are sealed with O-rings to prevent ingress of fl uids. • No indentations, allowing easy cleaning and eliminating areas of possible build-up and contamination. Typical applications for the FMCBE include pharmaceutical, packaging, food handling/pro- cessing, bakery machinery, beverage equipment, meat/dairy processing, measuring & dis- pensing or any operation where moisture, dirt or corrosion is a problem. www.nexengroup.com; 800-843-7445 (Vadnais Heights, MN) introduces the Flange Mount- ed Clutch-Brake Enclosed (FMCBE), offering food-production Screwdrivers, Nut Drivers Save Space in Bag, Increase Productivity Klein Tools (Lincolnshire, IL) introduces a new line of multi-bit screwdrivers and exclusive multi-nut drivers designed to increase productivity and save space in a tool belt or bag. Klein Tools' research shows electricians want to do more with fewer tools and these multi-bit screwdrivers and multi-nut drivers do just that. Specifi cs include: • Multi-Nut Drivers. Klein's exclusive multi-nut driv- ers come in two models with multiple interchange- able hex sizes. The heavy-duty shafts and cushion-grip handles exceed the torque performance of regular nut drivers. Both models also have wrench assist for added torque when needed. • 15-in-1 Multi-Bit Screwdrivers. This multi-bit screwdriver features a fi xed shaft with a ¼" nut driver and internal storage in the cushion-grip handle for 14 different screw- driver bits. It is available in three models. • 6-in-1 Ratcheting Stubby Screwdriver. The compact design of the 6-in-1 ratchet- ing stubby screwdriver makes it easier to work in confi ned spaces, while the ratchet- ing mechanism allows users to work faster and with more effi ciency. It is available in two models: One with standard bits and one with standard and square recess bits. Both models also have ¼" and 5/16" nut drivers. • 4-in-1 Electronics Screwdriver. This multi-bit screwdriver features four different interchange- able tips for working on electronics. The tips are heat-treated and precision machined for greater strength. It also has a rotating cap for optimum and precise control and a cushion-grip handle for comfort. www.kleintools. com/drivers; 847-821-5500 (Lincolnshire, IL) introduces a new line of multi-bit screwdrivers and exclusive multi-nut drivers designed to increase productivity and save space in a tool belt or bag. Klein Tools' research shows electricians want to do more with fewer tools and these multi-bit screwdrivers and multi-nut drivers do just able hex sizes. The heavy-duty shafts and cushion-grip handles exceed the torque performance of regular nut Bearing Preload Series Expands Smalley (Lake Zurich, IL) announces the ex- pansion of its Bearing Preload Series, hoping to push the limits in coiling innovation. The expan- sion of the bearing preload (SSB) series adds diameters ranging from 9 mm to 13 mm. Now over 300 SSB springs are stocked in carbon and stainless steel with free samples available to test in any application. Features include: • The single turn wave spring, helping to elimi- nate bearing play and minimize noise. • The constant light/medium pressure they apply, which removes play between the ball bearings and the bearings' inner and outer races. Newly expanded manufacturing capabilities al- low Smalley to design and manufacture tradi- tional Smalley Wave Spring and Spirolox Retain- ing Rings down to .165", or 4 mm diameters. www.smalley.com; 847-719-5900 AN ISO 9001 CERTIFIED COMPANY Very Clean in Operation Eliminates Tensioning Devices Exceptional Abrasion Resistance COLORS AVAILABLE CUSTOM MADE IN INCH, METRIC & O-RING SIZES Round, Flat and Connectable Polyurethane Belts Samples available at little or no cost.
