PennEngineering provides precision fasteners, components and installation systems, special- izing in thin sheet attachment solutions. • Aircraft engine manufacturer GE Aviation has announced its decision to launch a voluntary public takeover offer for all outstanding shares of SLM Solutions Group AG. GE Aviation is part of the General Electric Group, USA. SLM produces laser machines for metal-based additive manufacturing. GE has also an- nounced the acquisition of Arcam AB, based in Mölndal, Sweden. Arcam invented the elec- tron beam melting machine for metal-based additive manufacturing, and also produces advanced metal powders. • Motion Industries, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Genuine Parts Company, has ac- quired OBBCO Safety & Supply, LLC.
