New Products 20 IEN / OCTOBER '16 www.ien.com High-Speed Door Offers Fast Cycle Times, Safety Features The LiteSpeed Clean high-speed door from Rite-Hite (Milwaukee, WI) has been designed to deliver maximum clean room integrity, reliability and safety. The high-speed roll-up door is compliant with guidelines established by clean Good Manufac- turing Practices, the Food & Drug Administration and the United States Department of Agriculture. Features include: • A tough PVC vinyl curtain construction and a tapered design that uses non-exposed fasteners, making it more resis- tant to collecting dust than flat surfaces and easier to clean. • The ability to maintain room-to-room pressure differentials of up to 0.2 InWC with its tight seal. • A roll-up design, which translates into a peak operating speed of 65" per second and a smaller physical footprint. • Soft-Edge Technology at the bottom of the door, which provides a higher degree of protection for product, personnel and equipment. An optional full-width vision panel allows workers to see what's on the other side of the door, and a reversing slack sensor can reverse the door's course if an obstruction is sensed. Using available safety presence sensors, personnel working near the door are likely to avoid a collision. However, if the Li- teSpeed Clean is bumped or impacted, the TRUE Auto Re-feed will automatically reconfigure the door back on its tracks. This eliminates a potential breach in a clean room environment and the downtime and costs associated with repairing a traditional door. www.ritehite.com; 800-456-0600 High Temp Resistor Potting Compound Ceramacast 586, a new high temperature ceramic potting cement developed by Aremco Products, Inc. (Valley Cot- tage, NY) is a zirconium-silicate based, phosphate-bonded, chemically-setting ceramic compound ideal for bonding and potting high temperature electrical components including power resistors, infrared heaters, cartridge heaters, gas ig- niters, halogen lamps and temperature sensors for applica - tions to 2,800 ºF. Features include: • Exceptional electrical and mechanical properties. The dielectric strength and volume resistivity are 125 volts/mil and 10 9 ohm-cm, respectively. The compressive strength is 8,000 psi and the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) is 2.7 (4.9) ppm/ºF. • Ceramacast 586 is supplied as a powder and is mixed with water to a paste-like consistency in a ratio of 100 parts powder to 13-15 parts water by weight. It is easily dispensed through pneumatic dispensing equipment and it provides a one-hour pot life and hardening time of 6-8 hours. A full cure is achieved by step curing for 1-2 hours each at 200 ºF and 350 ºF, respectively, or setting at room temperature for 24 hours. Cured product exhibits a porosity of less than 2% and zero shrinkage. At 1,000 ºF, the shrink rate is less than 0.3%. • Ceramacast 586 is supplied from stock in quart, gallon and five gallon pails. It is one of a series of Ceramacast products that have been developed for ultra-high tem- perature electrical assembly applications. www.aremco.com; 845-268-0039
