Highlighting the exhibit will be its lineup of TRIMAX vises; ultra-low profi le TRIGRIP carbide grippers; the APS zero-point positioning system, air assisted clamps, supports and locators; One-Touch Fasteners; and the new Fairlane GP-Series rubber grip- per pads. Specifi cally: • TRIMAX Production Vises offer the benefi ts users need to maximize a machine's potential with multi- ple part clamping, quick change components and easy adjustment. Vises in this line are suited for production, 5-axis and machinist applications. • TRIGRIP carbide gripper inserts are designed for ultra-low profi le clamping with no dovetail workpiece preparation. With serrations designed for steel, hardened steel, titanium and aluminum, these patented triangular grippers feature two rows of teeth at different angles to maximize the pull down effect. • The APS zero-point positioning system is designed to connect the clamping device or workpiece with the machine tool for faster set up times and increased precision. The system features receptacles with three air-activated jaws for maximum rigidity, clamping force and repeatability of 0.0002 in. The pins are released with the applica- tion of air pressure. • Compact in design, Imao air assisted clamps, supports and locators allow for re- mote-control activation and simultaneous control, bringing full functionality in a small footprint. • Imao One Touch Fasteners are a convenient alternative to cumbersome nut-and-bolt assemblies for quick, easy and secure changeover and installation without the need for any tools. • The GP Series rubber gripper pads are ideal as industrial grade contact wear points for automation and positioning applications. They are constructed of black nitrile rubber that is molded to a 1/16 in. aluminum backing that can be mounted fl at or contoured or formed to round or sharp corners. www.fi xtureworks.net; IMTS Booth #W-2377 LNS to Introduce New Machine Tool Peripherals LNS (Cincinnati, OH) will present the latest advancements in bar feeding, work holding, chip/cool- ant management and air fi ltration. The company will also introduce a new au- tomatic bar feeder and chip conveyor that will be available as of September 2016. The Express 220 S2 Automatic Magazine Bar Feeder features: • The ability to load 12' long bars with diameters from 2 mm to 20 mm — with bar preparation, it can suite diameters up to 26 mm. • A simple loading assistance design for small diameter bars with a proprietary, auto- matic loading mechanism and bar selection system to precisely and consistently load small bars without failure. • A standard, high-capacity, 240-mm wide magazine tray and optional extended ca- pacity magazine tray for unattended and lights-out production. • A patented, high-speed, headstock synchronization system that meets the require- ments of today's sliding headstock machines. • A sturdy, fully automatic, 6" hydrostatic front stabilizer that eliminates residual vibra- tion between the bar feeder and the lathe. • A prompting, hand-held HMI with touchscreen, the latest servo drive and PLC tech- nologies and Ethernet readiness. The New SFcompact Chip Conveyor features: • The ability to fi lter coolant to 50 microns and handle virtually all chip types and sizes without the problems associated with traditional drum-type chip conveyors. • Patented, self-cleaning dual fi lters that can be removed, if necessary, in 15 minutes after removing the chip conveyor. • A fi ltering system that is integrated within the rigid frame, minimizing the total footprint. • Filters that eliminate the problem of chips wrapping around a drum, thus causing blockages, damage and machine tool downtime. • A hardened track, rigid frame construction and other wear-resistant components. www.LNS-america.com; IMTS Booth #S-8586 ant management and air fi ltration. Welders frequently resort to holding small parts in tight or narrow areas with their fi ngers. The GRASSHOPPER, frequently referred to as a "Welding Finger", p e r f o r m s this function safely and ef- fi ciently, steadying small parts such as bolts, nuts, tabs and thin metal plates for tack welding at odd angles with full welding clearance. The brass tips of the GRASSHOPPER rest against even the smallest, thinnest metal or Stainless Steel parts. Adjust the Grasshopper by sliding the upper arm or leg base against the weighted body to provide the proper stability and balance in each unique tack welding setup. The PRO Model GRASSHOP- PER, Part No. AGH130P, includes three brass tips, a grounding ribbon and a Spring Clip attachment for holding small rods or steadying thin metal plates. www.stronghandtools.com; IMTS Booth #W-2088 (Santa Fe Springs, CA) introduces the New GRASSHOPPER Clamping Tool, the safe, convenient way to steady small parts for tack welding.
