New Products 12 IEN / AUGUST '16 www.ien.com Torque Transducers Measure Static, Dynamic Torque Series 2270V and 2280V Reaction Style Torque Transducers from S. Himmelstein (Hoffman Estates, IL) are de- signed to accurately measure static and dynamic torque. Output signal is provided in both analog and digital form. They are well suited for a broad range of applications including both performance and endurance testing of pumps, motors, ser- vo motors, gearboxes and actuators, as well as calibration of torque tools. These sensors will measure static torque when installed as a reaction transducer, or they can be used for in-line rotating torque measure- ment where the angular motion is limited to less than a full rotation. Features include: • A mounting bolt circle outboard of the sensor body, thus simplifying installation. If radial clearance is limited, select the 2270V Series which has an inboard mounting bolt circle. • Ease of use, with included interface software that allows fast PC setup and re-confi g- uration while selecting from up to 10 units of measure, all without re-calibrating. There are no pots or other parts subject to mis-adjustment during vibration or by unautho- rized users. • High torsional stiffness and low defl ection. • Analog and digital outputs simultaneously available. • Overload capacity of twice (2X) rated torque and they handle extraneous loads with low crosstalk. All are calibrated CW and CCW to rated load in an ISO 17025, NVLAP accredited laboratory (NVLAP lab code 200487-0). • High accuracy, up to ±0.05% of full scale combined linearity and hysteresis, low drift, ex- ceptional temperature performance and 150% overrangeon the electrical output signal. www.himmelstein.com; 800-632-7873 Series 2270V and 2280V Reaction Style Torque Transducers (Hoffman Estates, IL) are de- signed to accurately measure static and dynamic torque. Designed for heavy duty 24/7 use in industrial environments, Jet Edge's Mid Rail Gantry waterjet is capable of operat- ing up to four abrasivejet or water-only waterjet cutting heads for increased productivity. Features include: • Industry-leading precision and accuracy, holding +/- 0.001" lin- ear positional accuracy (over 12") per axis and +/- 0.001" repeatability (bi-directional). • Moving elements supported on THK linear ways; precision ball screws directly cou- pled to servomotors; and critical motion components protected with metal covers, brushes, labyrinth passages, lip seals and high-volume low-pressure fi ltered air. • Maximum part quality and no vibration, since the Mid Rail Gantry separates the motion system from the waterjet cutting table. Motion is controlled with Jet Edge's signature Aquavision Di industrial PC controller. The Aquavision Di controller's customized front end guides the user through the process from job set-up to production. Single parts, mirror- ing, rotation, plate alignment and part arrays (optional) are at the operator's fi ngertips. www.jetedge.com; 763-497-8700 (St. Michael, MN) introduces its latest genera- ing up to four abrasivejet or water-only waterjet cutting Industry's First 3-in-1 Waveform Generator Tektronix (Beaverton, OR) has in- troduced the AWG4000 Series, which the company claims to be the industry's fi rst 3-in-1 ar- bitrary waveform generator. With basic, advanced and dig- ital modes, the portable signal generator can be shared across design teams and can meet a variety of signal generation needs ranging from radar and wireless communications to embedded systems design and re- search applications. Features include: • The ability to generate frequently used waveforms in an easy manner with little to no set up, as well as the ability to generate more complex waveforms with many degrees of fl exibility. • 2 analog channels. • Up to 2.5GS/s sampling rate. • 750 MHz bandwidth. • 14-bit vertical resolution. • Up to 64 Mpt/ch arbitrary memory. • Sequence with up to 16,384 entries. • 32-bit digital channels. • Filed-upgradable specifi cations, including memory and digital outputs. • A weight of <15 lbs, 10.1" touch screen and portable design. • An advanced Windows-based user interface for complicat- ed tasks that can be used to generate complex sequences and modulated signals in parallel with digital outputs. www.tek.com/awg4000; 800-833-9200 (Beaverton, OR) has in- troduced the AWG4000 Series, which the company claims to be the industry's fi rst 3-in-1 ar- bitrary waveform generator. This product is designed specifi cal- ly for commercial warehouse and dock doors using quality standard Kelley 2-inch or 1-3/8-inch steel sections and a simplifi ed track and hardware confi guration. The Rapid Install system is tested to more than 10,000 cycles to ensure long-term performance and uses a du- rable, heavy .063-gauge one-piece track. Provided hardware includes self-lubricating nylon rollers and wide body hinges. Benefi ts include: • Shorter installation time, which lowers labor costs and sig- nifi cantly increases safety. The system is carefully engineered to require fewer trips up and down the wall during installation and, because the system requires only one person to install it, that even further reduces labor costs. • A simplifi ed hardware confi guration, which features fewer wall anchors, which decreases the amount of drilling required. The one-piece vertical lift track also features an integrat- ed end bearing plate which means less assembly at the job site. The heavy .063 gauge, one-piece track is available for doors up to nine-feet, two-inches wide and ten-feet tall. • The Rapid Install system, available on all Kelley steel sectional doors with standard 2-inch track or an upgrade to 3-inch track for heavy-duty applications. • Optional upgrades, including a keyed hollow shaft used with a commercial operator or hoist, 10-ball steel rollers, high cycle springs, 16-gauge end and center stiles, as well as wind load options. www.kelleyentrematic.com; 800-558-6960
