Features include: • PLC functions with a graphical software tool. • Volumetric fl ow control for fans and pump applications. • 525 V and 690 V supply voltages for heavy industry and steel industry. • A modular system scalable for power requests. • A closed loop confi guration. • A liquid-cooled system for space saving and high power den- sity. • A 6 phase/12 pulse drive that saves energy by reducing har- monics distortion. • Multi communication protocols available. • Power ratings from 200 KW to 1,200 KW. • Voltage ratings of 400 V, 525 V, and 690 V. • Safety: STO (Safe Torque Off, SIL2). • CE conformity. www.bonfi glioliusa.com; 859-334-3333 Keyence (Itasca, IL) has released the LR-W series full-spectrum sensor, which is designed to de- tect any change in appearance and is capable of analyzing the full visible light spectrum. Fea- tures include: • Calibration via a one-touch teach function. • A detailed digital display. • A highly visible indicator light. • A 500 mm range. • An adjustable beam spot, which allows a focused beam spot even at long distances. • An IP65/67 enclosure rating that minimizes the need for maintenance. www.keyence.com Kurt Manufacturing (Minneapolis, MN) offers their 5-axis DoveLock workholding solution with features that include: • 4140 steel composition for handling high-speed ma- chining pressures. • Up to 4,000 lbs. of precision clamping force for hold- ing parts without distorting the workpiece. • The need for only 1/8" of material height to hold the part and no machined jaws are necessary. • An embedded locating pin to help eliminate work- piece locating. The locating pin maintains part loca- tion and accuracy when side load pressure is applied. • A Lifetime Iron Clad Warranty. www.kurtworkholding.com; 877- 226-7823 VICI Metronics' (Poulsbo, WA) Dynacal Permeation Tubes are small, inert capsules containing a pure chemical compound in a two-phase equilibrium between its gas phase and its liquid or solid phase. At a constant temperature, the device emits the compound through its permeable portion at a con- stant rate. Accurate, stable concentrations range from PPB to high PPM. The purpose of a calibration gas standard is to establish a reference point for the verifi cation of an analysis. Permeation Tube rates can be certifi ed using standards traceable to NIST by the most basic and accurate laboratory procedure – measuring the gravimetric weight loss over a known period of time at a known temperature. Devices are typically inserted into a carrier fl ow to generate test atmospheres for calibrating gas analyzer systems, testing hazardous gas alarms, or conducting long-term studies of effects on materials or biological systems – in short, any situation requiring a stable concentration of a specifi c trace chemical. Permeation rate data is already established for hundreds of different compounds, and rates for new compounds can be easily certifi ed using NIST-traceable standards. www.vicimetronics.com; 360-697-9199 Bosch Rexroth (Charlotte, NC) offers their Open Core Interface so machine builders can create individual functions without a PLC. Additional features include: • High-level language programming with enhanced access to the core of the control system. • The ability to create individual and real-time machine functions outside of the PLC program. • IndraLogic XLC (PLC), IndraMotion MLC (motion-logic) and IndraMotion MTX (CNC) support the direct imple- mentation of individual high-level language programs into the control system. The programs have direct access to the fi rmware, enabling the creation of algorithms for complex functions and kinematics. • Bosch Rexroth feels the direct processing in the machine control system reduces complexity and shortens cycle times. www.boschrexroth-us.com; 610-694-8352 Kollmorgen (Radford, VA) introduces their next generation of stepper motors, the PMX series, adding smaller 08, 11 and 14 frame sizes to the traditional 17, 23 and 34 frame size offerings. Additional features include mini- mal drive adjustments for 1.8 and 0.9-degree step an- gles, customized manufacturing options and localized technical support. www.kollmorgen.com; 1-540-633-3545 DJ Products (Minneapolis, MN) has introduced a new Vehicle Puller specifi cally designed for pulling vehicles and wheeled equipment easily, safely and effi ciently without causing damage to the bumper or body of the vehicle in tight, confi ned areas. The most common applications that require a Car- Caddy Vehicle Puller is the pulling of a non-oper- able vehicle at the end of an auto production line. The unit offers power, size, maneuverability and other unique features such as: • Hydraulic roller rams that effortlessly pull any two wheels of a vehicle up a ramp, off the ground, so the powered CarCaddyVP tug can easily and safely turn and maneuver the vehicle without the wheels of the vehicle moving. • The ability to eliminate the cumbersome straps, hooks and brackets needed to lift and pull a vehicle, or the "bumping" of the vehicle from behind with rubber push pads. www.djproducts.com; 800-686-2651
