14 14 IEN / FEB '16 IEN / FEB '16 www.ien.com New Products Low Profi le Gravity Rollers and Conveyor Mounts Motor Brake With Oil Shear Technology Solving Dust Problems Creform Corporation (Greer, SC) has in- troduced a new low-profi le version of its wide Placon gravity rollers and conveyor mounts. The Low-Profi le Placon rollers, of which there are two types, are 80 percent of the height of the standard wide Placon conveyor. The rail base is 32 mm to the top of the roller compared to 40 mm for the standard variety. The new series helps minimize the vertical space needed for conveyors and can allow the user to fi t more lanes in a given height or to squeeze rollers into a tight space. The standard new system incorporates 18 mm dia. roll- ers with a 19 mm dia. center to center, and can be confi gured up to 3 meters long. Other roller spacing is available upon request. www.creform.com; 800-839-8823 The MagnaShear motor brake from Force Control Indus- tries (Fairfi eld, OH) employs oil shear technology, provid- ing longer service life even in demanding applications like the frequent start/stop cycles seen on conveyors, bucket el- evators and other types of bulk materials handling equipment. Proven oil shear technology transmits torque between lu- bricated surfaces – thereby eliminating wear on friction surfaces. A patented fl uid re- circulation system dissipates heat, eliminating heat build-up which is the most common problem in dry braking systems. Elimination of the wear sig- nifi cantly increases service life and virtually eliminates adjustment which also elongates maintenance intervals. www.forcecontrol.com; 513-868-0900 Foremost Machine Builders, Inc. (Fairfi eld, NJ) introduces its Filtered Receiving Cyclone to handle the amount of dust emitted from the gas exhaust. The new unit offers a self- cleaning fi lter/receiver which replaces the cyclone and hanging fi lter bag. The material is blown directly from the blower into this fi lter receiver so the dust is contained with the material not emitted into the room. They can be used with blowers up to 900 CFM with line sizes up to 5" OD. Each unit comes with six 100-micron fi lter bags, a tangential inlet, aluminum construction, internal baffl e arrangement, an accumulator tank and solenoids for compressed air blow down and a fi lter pulse timer panel. www.foremostmachine.com; 973-227-0700 Automatic Bar Feeder Provides Visual Status Lights The new Tracer Vs-105XL bar feeder from CNC In- dexing & Feeding Tech- nologies (Mason, OH) is designed for heavier bars with features that include: • The ability to handle up to 4-1/8" diameter bars up to 72" long. • A magazine rack with a maximum capacity of 5 bars at 4-1/8" (105 mm) diameter. • The patented external LED light bar, which provides a visual status of pusher position, amount of bar remaining, notifi cation of last bar and fl ashing notifi cation of machine or bar feeder alarms. • A touch screen HMI display with automatic system settings and a moveable hand- held remote controller. • A tool-less quick-change pusher. • A top-cut optical sensor for measuring each bar's length and making automatic ad- justments. • The standard rail retract system, which allows the bar feeder to move back and away from the CNC lathe at a 45-degree angle for convenient spindle liner changes and access to the machine's headstock area for ease of maintenance. www.cncindexing.com; 919-323-7473 High Output Tube Light Kits LEDtronics (Torrance, CA) announces its new series of LED T5 High Output Tube Light Kits with a choice of 2, 3, 4 or 6-tube kits. Additional features include: • Needing only a single driver for up to 4 tubes and only two drivers for 6 tubes. • Can be directly retrofi tted into most any 4-ft 2-pin, in-line fl uorescent tube fi xtures. • Each tube uses only 21 watts and replaces fl uorescent counterparts up to 54 watts, offering energy savings of up to 50 percent. • Applications can include production area, factory and warehouse lighting. • The T5 LED tubes operate on 100 – 277 VAC voltage range, and provide a 120-degree wide beam of 5,000K pure white light of over 2,600 lumens each. www.ledtronics.com; 800-579-4875 Material Conditioning for Bulk Bags Material Transfer's (Allegan, MI) latest unit addresses concerns related to the com- monly practiced "forklift conditioning meth- od," such as bag breakage, plant structural damage, forklift damage or injury to plant personnel. According to the company, this new, patented system utilizes hy- draulically actuated pivoting conditioning arms with extended travel and features "v-shaped" tubular breaker profi les to effi ciently return even the most severely agglomerated materials to a free-fl owing state. A powered rotary lift table and turn- table positions the bulk bag for complete material conditioning on all sides, as well as the top and bottom. The unit features easy- to-use momentary contact controls and acrylic guarding on three sides for operator safety, and an ultra-compact footprint provides a solution for limited facility space. www.materialtransfer.com; 800-836-7068
